Sunsets are sun`s monologues dashingly announcing the end of the day and the beginning of the night
Portugal, by the ocean. One of the most beautiful features of Portugal is the coastline. The constant struggle between the ocean and the land is astonishing. While travelling through Portugal I made sure that my days were ending by the ocean. There, I was watching the sun going down while the sounds of the day were fading away and the sounds of the breaking waves were telling me stories. Every sunset was ending an extraordinary day being in its self, magic…
1. Obidos Lagoon
The sun was sinking in the waters and I was trying to catch a glimpse of the green light close to Foz do Arelho where the salt waters of Obidos lagoon are meeting the feisty ocean.
2. The Lighthouse, Sao Martinho do Porto
The lighthouse, the sunset and the ocean. The eternal story that starts with “Once upon a time…“ when the sun is falling in the sizzling waters and the beam of light is guiding the lost souls on the seas.
3. Sao Martinho do Porto
Just before diving in the ocean, the sun is breaking the clouds cover to whisper “Goodbye and See you“
3.Praia le Granha, Sao Martinho do Porto
A walk on the high crumbling cliffs above the sandy beach, washed by simmering waters at sunset. A gilded path leading to the sunset
4. Sesimbra
Away from vibrant Lisbon closer to the ocean, again, mysterious Sesimbra sharing its own stories with the sun while going down.
5.Sines
My first sunset in Portugal that will always remain in my heart. It is in the sand and in the ocean that I could find solace while watching the sun going down.
6. Cabo da Roca
There is magic in Cabo da Roca, the westernmost point of Europe and there is magic in the sunset. Both combined are creating one of my unforgettable memory.
“It is from here, by the ocean, that I am writing to you. I wish I could send you the sound of the ocean so you could hear it, as I do. To feel the subtle salty smell of the waters, as I do, to see its beauty..as I DO..“- Postcards by the Ocean
